Or, is the question more importantly phrased, Can digital publishing help me as a Publisher reduce my Carbon Footprint?
Hopefully, we will try and address those two questions.

We do not evangilise about replacing print, more that we wish to help lessen the impact of printing in enviroment, social and economic terms.
How does that make sense, well we all have to consider the infrastucture of the have to But it's not just the act of felling trees; the whole process of printing and distribution is harmful:
1. Logging - disturbs wildlife and uses fuel
2. Pulp mills - use natural resources and create pollution
3. Transportation - creates pollution
4. Printing - uses natural resources and chemicals
5. Waste - cleaning and recycling uses resources and energy
But to be fair, we are all aware that running businesses do also consume energy, however, here at Escri, we have gone to massive lengths to ensure that our whole infrastructure lessens the impact of our carbon footprint, even to the extent of replacing all of our servers with the latest energy saving servers available on the market.
So, is that carbon neutral?
Can I as a Publisher be carbon neutral?
Having researched this extensively anyone who tells you, and there is a few making many out of licensing and those who have paid out their hared
earned to get a logo, that they are carbon neutral are simply misleading you.
It’s impossible.
The best any organisation can do is to follow the guidelines laid down in such articles as;
